This might be in the wrong area, and if it is I apologize, but I haven't been able to find a post about this on the community site. We're in the process of implementing a password policy for our network, and we're having quite the lively discussion around a good size number of users that use their laptops mostly remotely and off-network. I was hoping that someone who knows more about the functionality of Landesk can shed some light if there are some ideas out there on how we can use Landesk's tools like the access gateway to manage laptop devices in situations like:
- A user takes their laptop off network, forgets their password, and won't be back on the network for a while (the password management tool is intranet only)
- A user who works off network regularly has waited too long and their password has expired
I was thinking of something along the lines of managing the local users and groups via the gateway, or something like that. (I don't know much about the broker config part of landesk, the consultant set it up and it was beyond me
